Meet the Innkeepers
The Owners
Joe and Jill Lavin bought the Inn in 2006. They discovered the property as customers of the Inn while visiting their son, Tyler, a 2005 graduate of Dartmouth College. They fell in love with the Upper Valley and wanted to become a permanent part of its culture and environment. Joe is a long time Hospitality Industry executive with such companies as Marriott, Westin and Choice Hotels.

The Innkeepers
Innkeeper Ward Watson has been a fixture on the Upper Valley restaurant scene since his graduation from Dartmouth in 1987. Ward has had a variety of roles in his five years at the Norwich Inn. Before assuming his Innkeeper responsibilities, he was a senior waiter in the both the Dining Room and Pub and was known as one of the most creative bartenders in the area. More recently, before his elevation to Innkeeper, Ward had taken on increasing management responsibilities at the Inn. He resides on site with his wife, Wendisolina and daughter, Niskua.
Assistant Innkeeper Taryn Foster has been at the Inn since the beginning of 2007 and quickly displayed the talent that made her Employee of the Year at the historic Lodge Resort in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. While at The Lodge, Taryn developed in depth experience as Front Desk Supervisor, Catering/Conference Coordinator and Sales Manager. She has a BA in Fine Arts from Nebraska Wesleyan University, class of 2000.
