The Vestry
The historic Vestry building overlooks the spacious grounds behind the Main Inn. It was originally constructed in 1839 on the village green as the Vestry for the Congregational Church. It has also served as a meeting hall, the Town schoolhouse, the first Norwich Public Library in 1880 and as the Norwich Post Office from 1951-1961. At that time, it was moved to its present location on the Norwich Inn property. The Vestry features two, 2 bedroom and two studio efficiency units, well suited for families and multiple occupancy. All are equipped with kitchenette and refrigerator.
